Alex and Emerson are law students that work for the Immigration Advocacy Project, providing free legal representation for women and children fleeing violence in Central America. These non-criminal families are held in a federal detention center in rural Dilley, Texas. The IAP helps prepare refugees for the complex and uncertain process of seeking asylum.
