Tina

One of our frequent collaborators, food styling genius Tina Bell-Stamos is featured in this piece on Zagat today.  I shot this candid of her on the set of a Still-Motion production a few weeks ago.  Great work, Tina!

Pecans!

It’s pecan pie season, which is the best kind of season.  A few weeks ago we shot this pecan farm in rural Caldwell, TX for a feature in Texas Monthly.  500 acres, thousands of trees, friendly farmers.

Still-Motion

We are pleased to announce a new cinemagraph production project called Still-Motion.  In a nutshell, they’re still images with a moving component that adds impact to the story but without the overhead or viewer commitment that full length video has.

For more information and examples, check out our production site.

Paul Qui

While going through the archives, I came across these frames we shot of (now well known) chef Paul Qui at Uchiko shortly after it opened.

Texas Monthly 40th anniversary issue

I was honored to be commissioned to shoot a portrait of the city of Houston for the 40th anniversary issue of Texas Monthly.  A few weeks ago we flew over the Houston ship channel in a helicopter to capture this image.  The setting sun filtered through the clouds just enough to give us some great light.

Below are some other views.

Fair Fare

It’s State Fair season again.  I’ve always been drawn to the colorful and completely unpretentious nature of carnivals – the games, the rides and of course, the food.  Here’s a new series with my take on them: Fair Fare.
